1st Class with Geoff Hunt on our Nature Trail

1st Class News 2009

Welcome to 1st Class at Our Lady's Abbey. There are 13 girls in our class. We are all great friends. We enjoy reading, Maths, Irish and Art. Check out the cool Ballerinas we made in Art class. We all work very hard at school. We like going to computers on Mondays. It is great fun.

Geoff Hunt visited our school last week. We all wore our wellingtons and raincoats and we went over to the park in Adare and used our fishing nets to find little insects in the water. This was very exciting. We also looked at different types of birds and trees in the park. We had a great time.

We love reading in our reading corner. We go to the library every second Friday. We are learning how to play the tin whistle. We can now play three notes B, A and G. We love practicising every day. We can't wait to learn more notes!!
