6th Class News
Dia daoibh. Fáilte go Rang a Sé. Conas atá sibh? Táimid go léir go hiontach.
Welcome to our classroom. It has been a busy year so far. On Fridays, we head to UL for swimming lessons, which we really enjoy. As we are an active school, after school, we also have tag rugby, basketball and football training. During break times, we are playing in a street handball tournament. Once a week, we also learn to dance “Gangnam Style” and take part in Station Surprise.
In Gaeilge, we have been learning all about Mé Féin, while in Maths we are examining fractions. We love using our mini whiteboards and also practicing our Maths on Mangahigh.com. Shortly we will be taking out our I pods and I pads to do a Maths Orienteering Trail during Maths Week.
In English, we have been practicing Procedural Writing and love getting the chance to do some Free Writing daily. Art has been jam packed with weaving and drawing Celtic designs. We have just learned about the Celts in History and took a trip to Adare Manor to check out the Ogham stones there.
