6th Class News
Dia daoibh. Céad mile fáilte go Rang a Sé. Conas atá sibh? Táimid go léir go hiontach.
Welcome to our classroom. It has been a busy year so far. We have already completed swimming lessons in UL, which we really enjoyed. We are extremely proud to be an Active School. Every day, during break times, we play yard leagues in Tag Rugby, which is great fun. Once a week, we are also learning to dance “Saturday Night.” Extra curricular activities after school this term are speed typing, football and quiz!
In Gaeilge, we have been learning all about Mé Féin, while in Maths we are examining fractions. We love using our mini whiteboards and playing loop games in English and Maths. In Literacy and History, we have been studying World War Two and have just started our class novel “Godnight Mister Tom”, which is set in England during World War Two. Check out the lovely World War Two timelines we made recently on Microsoft Word.
In Science we have been studying the biodiversity in our local park. We spent a fantastic day examining crayfish, eels, water shrimp and much more with Geoff Hunt, while we have been learning about common rocks in our environment in Geography.
Check in during the year to see what else we are getting up to!!
