6th Class News

Dia daoibh.  Céad mile fáilte go Rang a Sé.  Conas atá sibh? Táimid go léir go hiontach.

Welcome to our classroom.  It has been a busy year so far.  Every Friday, we head to UL to go swimming, which we really enjoy.  We are extremely proud to be an Active School.  Every day, during break times, we play yard leagues in Street Handball, which is great fun.  Once a week, we also take time out to dance with GoNoodle.com and also to do some Braingym exercises.  Extra curricular activities after school this term are coding, football and quiz!

In Gaeilge, we have been learning all about Mé Féin, This year, we are applying for the Gaelbhratach, so táimid ag caint as Gaeilge chomh minic agus is féidir. On wet breaks, we even play Irish games, such as Iasc, Nathracha agus Dréimirí agus Biongó. In Maths we are examining place value, operations and fractions.  We love using our mini whiteboards and playing loop games in English and Maths.

In Science we have been studying the biodiversity in our local park.  We spent a fantastic day examining crayfish, eels, water shrimp and much more with Geoff Hunt, while in History we have been studying the Celts.

Check in during the year to see what else we are getting up to!!
Slán go fóill.
